VESA is a standard sizing guide used on nearly all TVs around the world. they are based on the holes that are in the back of your TV and the measurements are worked out from the distance between the screws - so for example your screws might be 200mm (20cm) across from each other and 200mm up and down from each other - that means your TVs VESA is 200mm x 200mm. All TVs should be compatible but occasionaly models arent - such as Sonys W6, W7 and W8 range which require an adapter kit as the bottom VESA Holes are not in vertically aligned.
Dont worry about curved TVs - they all should have the same VESA as regular flat screen TVs Personally, i would always choose a tv bracket over a stand - it frees up more space in my home and is more secure, especially if you have youngesters in the house.
What do you fancy mounting? And more precisely....where? TV brackets come in all different shapes and sizes, some are great at being close to wall and slim fit and other have full multi functioning capabilities that allow them to be placed in the corner or in a somewhat awkward looking situation.
